Eric Lalor (Des Bishops Work Experience)
Tues 18th Sept 9pm @ Revolution €10

Eric has been doing comedy since appearing in the Des Bishop documentary, Des Bishop’s Joy in the Hood. Although only doing comedy since the February 2005 he has quickly established himself as a very promising comedian on the Irish comedy circuit. He has done gigs all over Ireland, including, amongst others, The International in Dublin and Cuba in Galway and is currently supporting Des Bishop on his new tour which have included dates in Sligo, Wexford, Ennis, Carlow, The Forum in Waterford, the Cork Opera House and the prestigious Vicar Street in Dublin. He has quickly moved from the open slots into the full support slots wherever he has played, building on an impressive start to his comedy career. He has also gigged with Jason Byrne in the world famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival which for someone so new to the scene is a huge accomplishment. He is also one of the resident MCs in Ballymun’s first ever comedy club, The House of Fun based in the Axis Arts Centre. Eric has also opened up a new comedy club in Dublin city centre which runs on a weekly basis each Sunday night in the Break for the Border club. He has opened this with fellow Joy in the Hood participant, Wille White. They share MC duties at this club. The year 2006 sees Eric embark on a tour of Ireland in a show which will feature a selection of the comedians from the aforementioned documentary, Des Bishop’s Joy in the Hood. He has won the Best Newcomer Award 2005 at the Capital Comedy Club and also the Comedy Cellar in Dublin.
